Happy Cyber Monday, my fellow fitness and golf freak.
Has your credit card been working overtime since last week? Hopefully, today you’ll be able to put it back in your holster.
Oh boy, it’s good to get back to a normal schedule today.
Last week, I didn’t have much time to do much working out, but every day, I did at least 30-minutes of work?
So, what did I do in those 30-ish minutes each day (mostly in the morning)?
I simply moved.
At the very least, you MUST get yourself moving – and here is what I do:
- Rarely, and I mean rarely, do I miss the Daily Motion. It’s our 7-10 minute routine that gets our golf mobility areas moving and greased.
- Take a walk. We’re lucky enough to have a big park at the end of our block, so it’s easy for us to take the dog for a walk.
- Take a jog. I’m not a big fan of running, but we’re doing an endurance trail run on December 11th that helps get me motivated to run. That’s a big reason I love doing challenges like that.
- Knock around the soccer ball. Shoot the basketball at the schoolyard. Anything that the kids want to do, I’m in.
Now, that’s just the minimum that I do on days when I don’t have a ton of time, not in the gym, and just need to bridge the gap from workout to workout.
And that will change the game for you.
The more you move, the more you want to move.
If I miss the Daily Motion, I’m much more likely to skip a workout that day. AND, I’m much more likely to eat like a garbage can.
But if I win the morning by moving, then I want to win again, and again, and again.
Like Tiger said, “Winning takes care of everything.”
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a new concept we’re working on that I know you’re going to love. We’ll have it launched by Christmas, so you’re ready to rock by the new year.
