💪 Hello from Music City! 

Happy Friday from a sunny morning here in Nashville! 

12 great dudes. 54 great holes of golf. Countless great musicians. Could today get any better? 

[I was so excited this morning to get out that I forgot to push “send” on the email, so I’m actually mid-round at Hermitage GC, but the following still holds up a few hours later…] 

So yesterday, we talked about not getting distracted by the latest and greatest “shiny objects”.  

And today? 

We’re getting even SIMPLER.  

I’m not sure if you know this, but there’s a secret to achieving your golf and fitness goals.  

It’s so simple you might not believe me. BUT, when I tell you it’s the FIRST thing I personally do when I set a goal…I ain’t lying.  

And it’s something I work on with all of my clients! 


Yeah, I may have oversold the “secret”. It ain’t sexy, but the basics will give you 99% of your results! 

By basics, I mean: 

  • Eating a healthy, whole-foods-based balanced diet with the right amount of protein, carbs, and healthy fats 
  • Getting enough exercise to get stronger, fitter, and more mobile 
  • Setting yourself up for a good night of sleep to help your body recover, rejuvenate, and refresh for a great day 
  • Not swinging out of your shoes 

The basics mean drilling down to the fundamental actions that SUPPORT YOUR FITNESS and make you feel great along the way! 

Once you master the basics, then you can add in the fancy “extras” if you still want. 

And here’s the best part… 

The basics are all connected – your sleep quality can affect your food choices which can affect your energy which can affect your activity level, and on and on. 

Once you find your “groove” you’ll be UNSTOPPABLE.
