💪 Lube your joints in a Jiffy

We’re just one day from golf’s Super Bowl. Now, I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait to see what Tiger pulls out of his hat.

I saw a picture from his practice round on Monday. And the crowd looks like it’s the final group on #18 on Sunday for the win. Unbelievable.

For him to come back from those injuries makes me feel like a little b**** for having a little back or shoulder pain.

What I’ve realized over the past few weeks is that we all have some pain. It ain’t just you.

What happened is that a new group of golfers has been coming to the gym to train with me. All of whom were former athletes – high school and some college.

These guys are around my age – in their 40s. And all that wear and tear on their bodies is starting to catch up with them.

I remember talking with my Dad a few years ago about soccer. And all the guys we’ve seen break down physically. He sarcastically said, “Why did we ever play the game?”

I’m sure there are some nerdy guys who never picked up a sport in their lives who still have “like-new” tendons, muscles and ligaments. But what’s the fun in that? It’s kinda like buying a Ferrari, but never driving it.

What’s really interesting about this new crop of golfers/former athletes is that the pain isn’t what bothers them most. They’re more pi$$ed because they know they should be better. But their body has become a hinderance instead of an advantage.

I couldn’t agree more. And I’m betting that you feel the same way.

No matter how old we get, there’s no turning off our competitiveness. Guys don’t throw clubs because they’re just out there to have fun. The putter toss happens when you hate losing more than you love winning.

So, I’ll tell you what I tell 99% of golfers who come see me…we need to start by getting your body moving better.

Barring any real injury, that will alleviate a ton of the pain you feel when you violently swing a club 90 times an afternoon.

And that starts at the joints. You need to grease them up by moving them. By moving your joints, two things happen:

  1. Your body produces synovial fluid inside your joints (essentially grease)
  1. You push around the synovial fluid inside your joints to lube the entire joint

Today, while you’re watching the final practice round at Augusta, stand up. And get your joints moving. Yeah, you may look like a crazy person. But who cares?

You’ve got this.
