💪 180 holes-played in 7 days

Good Tuesday morning, my fellow golf fitness machine.

Yesterday, one of the best parts of my “job” happened. You’ll notice I put “job” in quotes. I really love what I do, so it rarely feels like a job. So, what happened was a great email from one of our Crew:

Hey Jeff,

I just wanted to give you a shout out. I’ve been an 18STRONG member for a few months now. I’ve been following the workouts and doing the Daily Motion program every morning & night. I just got back from a weeklong golf trip to Scottsdale, AZ where I played 10 rounds of golf over a 7-day period. I’m sure the only way I was able to play that much was because of 18STRONG. By the way, I’m 58 years old!

Thanks for all you do & keep up the good work!

I’m lucky enough to get these pretty often, but it never gets old. And it helps to ensure that we’re heading in the right direction, giving you what you need to succeed.

So, 10 rounds of golf in 7 days is a ton of golf! That’s a 26-hole daily average for seven consecutive days! Well done, Rod-man (nickname), well done.

Now, I’m not sharing this with you to boost my ego (maybe a little:), but to throw down a challenge:

If your buddy called you this afternoon saying he just won an all-expenses-paid trip to Scottsdale for 7 days of playing some of the most beautiful courses in the US, could you go? Let’s assume you have nothing on your schedule. And your job encourages your maniac golf habit. And your spouse or significant other is awesome. Could you do it?

Now, there’s a catch…

…the catch is that you HAVE to play all 10 rounds, otherwise you can’t go.

No days off. No hanging out at the clubhouse bar for the back nine. No picking up.

Are you physically capable of playing that much golf? Or, would you have to pass on the trip of a lifetime?

You know what, I’ll even give you a month to prepare for it. What would you do to whip yourself into shape?

To be fair, that is an excessive amount of golf in that short period of time. BUT, it’s been my experience that too many golfers struggle just to play back-to-back days.

The reason is because their bodies aren’t ready. I talked about it yesterday – the golf swing is violent. And the best way to prepare ourselves for that stress is GET STRONG.

I couldn’t have said it any better than Roddy in his email to me. He moves everyday and lifts weights. And if 10 rounds in 7 days doesn’t convince you, nothing will.

My challenge is this: By the end of the summer, can you be prepared for a 5-day, 18-holes per day trip?

Think about it. Should you choose to take the challenge, use us as you secret weapon.

You’ve got this,

Jeff Pelizzaro

PS – 180 holes in a week may not be your jam, but if playing this game for years to come with energy and strength is your jam, then I highly encourage you to check out the 18STRONG Membership App

The Daily Motion is already on your calendar. All the strength training programs are included. And most importantly, you can get all your questions answered right there in the app through the messaging porthole.
