đź’Ş A Goal or A Wish?

It’s Monday morning, so let’s start off the week in full stride.

You may have read the latest about the Saudi-backed Super Golf League that got some headlines over the weekend with outrageously lucrative offers to the top players.

If you’re unfamiliar, the Saudis are investing $2 billion to lure the world’s best players away from the PGA Tour. It looks like Greg Norman is going to be the commissioner, but the reported offers are the head-turners:

Ian Poulter offered $20-$30 to sign.

Phill offered up to $100 million.

Dechambeau offered $135 to be the face of the league.

To put things into perspective, Tiger’s on-course earning throughout his entire career are less than Bryson’s offer.

Now, those are just “reports”, but make no mistake, if the goal is to pry players from the PGA Tour, the offers are going to be substantial.

But, the format of the league has not been revealed yet. So, either they don’t want to disclose the information, OR they don’t know.

And there’s the issue…

A goal without a plan is just a wish. All of the money in the world isn’t going to guarantee success. It sure helps:)

Now, think about how you approach your fitness and your golf.

I bet you wish you look like you belong on the cover of Men’s Health. I bet you wish your distance was better.

So, do you have a plan to magically transform your wish into a goal? Because without a plan, I promise it will always be stuck as a wish.

Perhaps we should name the 18STRONG App, the “Wish Transformer” because each training program has a specific goal and a step-by-step plan to achieve it.

I can only guess $2 billion buys you a pretty solid plan, but who knows? When you have F-You money, all bets are off.

Your assignment today: take one of those wishes you’ve had in your head that just hasn’t come true, and put a plan in place to achieve it.

You’ve got this,

Jeff Pelizzaro

PS – Last week, we talked about the importance of putting your plan on your calendar – it works!

When you log in to the 18STRONG App for the first time, you’ll notice that you are required to put your workouts on the calendar. That’ll help you 10X to stick to your plan.

Not just with your fitness, but with any plan you have to reach your goals.
