💪 Less equals more

It’s local election day here in St. Louis. And I’m going to exercise my right to do my best to help remove some of the corrupt folks in our local government.

But, like they say, “The boss is always an a$$hole until you meet the new one.” So, we’ll see how it goes.

I don’t get very involved in politics. Or news for that matter. Life’s too short to be perpetually aggravated.

And that’s coming from a golfer:)

You know what isn’t aggravating? Looking down at the scale every Friday morning and loving the number you see.

And that is exactly what our co-founder Ryan has been doing for the last 6 weeks like clockwork.

Here’s the part of the email where I give you the bulls*** number of pounds he’s lost…but unlike the “other guys”, let’s be real.

“Struggled” is a strong word. But Ryan has found it a challenge to get back into the 160s. In fact, he hasn’t sniffed that weight since high school. He’ll get to the low 170s, then whatever restrictive fat loss program he’s on finally catches up with him.

We talked about it yesterday. And this time I KNOW is different.

His kryptonite has always been his weekends. He loves to go out, have a bunch of drinks. And hoot and holler.

He eats really well during the week. Is very, very active. Then the wheels fall off when Friday hits.

He’ll pile on a ton of calories at night. Then, he’ll be starving with the next day munchies. And he’ll eat like a garbage can on Saturdays and Sundays – double whammy.

Two weeks after he got back from the Phoenix Open, and the all-inclusive trappings, he made a small tweak I’m going to tell you about in a minute.

On Feb 21st, he clocked in at 175 lbs.

Last Friday, April 1st, he tipped the scales at 170 lbs. He was so close to breaking into the 160s, he told me he was one long pee away.

And I fully expect him to be 169 lbs this upcoming Friday morning.

So, what did he do?

He drank slower.

Let me be clear, he didn’t drink less often. Every Friday and Saturday he hit the town. And Sundays working around the house. Because he slowed down, he just didn’t drink as many beers – probably about half his normal consumption.

And like clockwork, he lost about 1 lb per week. And said it almost felt effortless.

Now, losing 1 lb per week isn’t going to sell many fat loss programs. But do the math and figure out how great you’d two months from now. And down 8 lbs.

Ryan figured out what works for him. So your job this week is to figure out what will work for you. Keeping this in mind….

Small things add up to big things.

You’ve got this.

PS – A huge part of Ryan’s overall success is that he exercises regularly. Not only will you lose calories exercising. But you’ll be way less likely to put high-calorie garbage in your body.
