Despite the bad press the Boy Scouts have gotten recently, they’ve always gotten one thing right:
ALWAYS BE PREPARED.
For example, if I asked you, “Are you prepared to play 108 holes (6 rounds) of golf tomorrow?
Even better, are you prepared to walk 108 holes of golf tomorrow?”
Well, on Thursday, September 26th, a team of us lunatic 18STRONG golfers is going to do just that.
Check this out: https://www.100holehike.org/group/18STRONG
You’ll notice the event is only 100 holes, but we felt it was unsatisfying and incomplete to not finish a full 6 rounds.
Did I mention that we’re lunatics?
Here’s the thing…we are 13 days away from the event, so there’s no possible way we could train for it.
We’re either going to finish or tap out – the latter ain’t an option.
BUT, maybe the greatest thing golf fitness has given us is that we’re always prepared.
5-day golf trip next weekend? No problem.
10-mile charity walk for cancer tomorrow? You bet.
108 holes next weekend? Wouldn’t miss it.
We’re always very focused on how our effort in the gym translates to our performance on the course…which is awesome.
But, we tend to forget how our effort in the gym translates to living a healthy, active lifestyle where we can say “hell yes!” and be prepared for what is thrown our way.
Now, for the elephant in the room…
If you’d like to donate to the cause of promoting kids’ golf in St. Louis, every dollar counts:
Our goal is $5k, which buys a whole lot of X-out balls:)
Thanks in advance for checking it out.
And have a great weekend!
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
PS – While I may be on the top of the leaderboard, please don’t think less of the individual golfers who are lagging behind…like a cohesive team, we’ve been using the same donation link:
