It’s a Sunday, so I feel like a need to come clean and confess something to you.
I’ve crossed over into the side of my 40s that is closer to 50. And, this isn’t easy, but my metabolism has slowed down.
I know. It’s a shock. But, it’s true.
And if you’re anything like me, that fiery, fat-burning furnace we had in our 20s that effortlessly burned off cheeseburgers, fries, and 9 hot dogs (True story. I ate 9 hot dogs at the KC Royals game when I was in college) now seems like a smoldering campfire.
Of course, as we mature like a fine wine, our approach to fat loss has to evolve.
Which then leads us to Google and the futile exercise of trying to navigate the maze of BS the diet industry puts out there.
Here are the three biggest diet industry lies that I see over and over and over:
- Quick Fixes Jumpstart Your Long-Term Success – A perfect 10 on the BS scale. Rapid weight loss is absolutely achievable, but it is not sustainable. And ends up leading to a higher weight than when you started. Here’s what I tell clients: “Whatever gets you there is going to keep you there.”
- Fat is the Enemy – For years, fat was demonized and an industry of low-fat and fat-free products boomed. Fats are essential for hormone production, brain function and nutrient absorption. Fat is not the problem. The problem is the quantity of fat consumed alongside a high calorie diet.
- One-Size-Fits-All – The diet industry packages weight loss solutions as universally applicable, but our bodies, lifestyles, and goals are diverse. While it’s not 100% custom, we created the Golfers’ Fat Loss Blueprint for golfers who are 45+, are athletic, and self-motivated. That program won’t work for an overweight 20-something without an athletic bone in his body who needs someone to pick him up and carry him to the gym.
The truth is to keep it simple.
In the Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint, we show you the habits to consistently lose 1-2 lbs per week. And keep it off forever.
Again, it ain’t sexy. But it works.
Your #1 Fan,
Jeff Pelizzaro
PS – Tomorrow at 12p CST, we’re raising the price of the Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint from $67 to $97, so now is the time to join us.
