For years on Thanksgiving, we would go to my Mom’s side in the morning. My wife’s side in the afternoon. My Dad’s side in the afternoon. Then, back to my Mom’s side in the evening.
And it was exhausting.
Finally, because of all of those constraints, we got smart and split up visits between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The result?
A much more enjoyable Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Do you ever feel constrained from getting into shape due to lack of time, energy, access to equipment, injuries, motivation, etc?
Constraints are often advantages in disguise.
Here’s what I mean:
The constraint of having a lack of time forces us to carve out a shorter amount of time. And maximize every single second we have.
The constraint of a lack of energy forces us to start slow, then gradually build. And yes, that is THE blueprint to create sustainable habits.
The constraint of access to equipment forces us to workout using only bodyweight or a few $15 bands from Amazon.
The constraint of being injured forces us to strengthen the other parts of our bodies that will, in turn, help protect the problem area. My back has been a disaster since high school, so I’m forced to build the surrounding areas to protect my back so I stay on the course.
The constraint of motivation forces us to find things we enjoy doing. If you hate cardio, but love to walk, then walk.
Jeff Bezos has “The Two Pizza Rule”.
If you can’t feed everyone in a meeting with two pizzas, there are too many people in the meeting.
He created that constraint to force his people to think independently.
So…
Instead of getting upset about what we don’t have.
Let’s start looking at our constraints like problems that require a higher-level of problem solving.
What constraints do you have, that will force you to be a better version of you?

PS – Here’s another constraint for you: Our Black Friday deal is going to end on Monday.
So, you’re forced to make a decision to take us up on $99 for ALL of our programs now. Or, pay the full-price on Tuesday.
As always, it’s your decision.
