Addition by subtraction equals distance

Alright, we’re going to get right into it today with this simple concept…

Subtraction can lead to massive breakthroughs.

For example,

  1. Remove habits that disrupt your sleep, like screen time or caffeine too close to bedtime.
  2. Remove exercises that don’t align with your fitness goals or you simply don’t enjoy doing them.
  3. Remove negative self-talk.

Shoot, Apple removed the keyboard from phones (think BlackBerry) and revolutionized the industry.

Subtraction enhances focus.

It’s difficult in this world because we tend to want “more”, but “more” is not always the right answer.

And “more” comes in my forms…

More bells and whistles.

More golf-ish exercises.

More information.

More new, shiny objects.

So, before you add “more” to your lifestyle, ask yourself this question:

“What can I remove to make me stronger?”

When I unsubscribed from most of the emails that I was getting from golf trainers and instructors, I was able to focus.

Rather than constantly being pulled in 100 different directions, I could execute on the information.

Yes, I’m a broken record, but I’ll say it again…

Keep it simple.

STAY STRONG,

Jeff
