I’ve got an exciting update I couldn’t wait to share with you. In fact, it could deliver several benefits, including this thing or that.I am not, don’t pretend to be, nor have I ever been a swing coach.
If you need a recommendation, I’m happy to point you to some of the best guys I know.
But, if you want somebody to professionally break down your swing and give you the prescription to get you to the next level, I’m not your guy.
However, I’ve been around this game long enough to walk down the range and notice very obvious mistakes.
And they tend to be the same few from golfer to golfer.
In the golf fitness world where I can give you professional advice, I see the same thing happen when I watch golfers “stretch” either in the gym or before their round.
When golfers come to me, I consistently see 3 of the same stretching mistakes.
So lemme show you exactly what they’re/you’re doing wrong.
And fix it!
If you’re a visual learner, here’s a short video we shot that goes deeper than I can in an email:
I highly encourage you to watch, as there is a lot that goes into this.
In fact, I really put on my technical physical therapist hat during the video for golfers who want to know the WHY.
Now, if you just want the Reader’s Digest version, here are the 3 mistakes:
- Not holding your stretch long enough (it’s a lot longer than you think)
- Not breathing and relaxing (tense muscles don’t stretch)
- Not being strong enough
So, simply fixing those things is going to change how you feel.
No more creaking.
No more cracking.
No more, “Geez, I feel so tight.”
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
PS – Even though “not being strong enough” is only #3 on the list, I cannot stress enough how strength is the mother of all athletic qualities that unlocks so many other things…mobility, speed, power, injury-prevention, etc.
That is why we focus so much on strength in the 18STRONG Membership training programs.
If you haven’t already, give it a shot for free for the next 7 days.
