Over the past few emails, we’ve shared an idea that’s been reshaping the way we think about fitness.
The workout isn’t the whole story.
It’s everything that happens outside the gym that determines how you feel, how you move, and ultimately, how you perform.
Those other 23 hours matter.
The choices you make.
The way you move.
The habits you build.
The way you care for your body.
The more we explored that idea, the more it led us to a bigger question.
If the other 23 hours are so important…what are we actually trying to improve?
At first, we thought the answer was mobility.
Or strength.
Or flexibility.
Those things are important.
But the more we worked with our golfers and former athletes, the more we realized they were describing something much deeper.
Nobody said,
“I wish I had five more degrees of hip rotation.”
Instead they said things like…
“My body just doesn’t do what I want it to anymore.”
“I know there’s more in there.”
“I don’t feel like the athlete I used to be.”
That’s when it clicked.
Maybe the goal isn’t to restore mobility.
Maybe it’s to restore athleticism.
Because athleticism isn’t just about moving well.
It’s about feeling connected to your body again.
It’s making a swing without thinking about every position.
It’s trusting your body to respond the way you know it can.
It’s feeling capable again.
That realization has changed everything for us.
In fact, it’s become the foundation for what we’re building next.
We’ll tell you more about that soon.
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
