Golf is exposing something bigger

Greetings from Michigan where I’m enjoying an awesome time with my family and some interesting smoke from Canada’s wildfires that does make for some beautiful sunsets – always an optimist.

Okay, so I’ve had some thoughts about how golf has a funny way of exposing problems that have nothing to do with golf.

Your swing isn’t the only thing that feels different.

You notice it when you bend down to tee up your ball.

When you climb into the cart.

When you walk a hilly course.

When you try to make the same athletic move you’ve made thousands of times and your body just doesn’t respond.

Golf isn’t causing the problem.

It’s simply revealing what’s been happening everywhere else.

You feel it carrying groceries.

Getting up off the floor.

Playing with the rugrats.

Reaching for something in the garage.

The course just happens to be where it’s hardest to ignore.

Most golfers assume the answer is another swing tip.

Or another club.

Or another lesson.

But if your body can’t move the way your brain wants it to, no amount of swing advice fixes the real issue.

That’s why everything we do inside 18STRONG starts with restoring the body first.

Because when your body moves like an athlete again, your golf swing starts feeling like your golf swing again.

STAY STRONG,

Jeff

PS – This is the best way I can sum this up…”You’re asking your body to do things it can’t do.”

And no amount of advice or tips is going to fix that.

In the 18STRONG Membership, we can help you get your body doing those things.
