A 2-minute push-up?

I was cleaning up my computer and I ran across this…

“The more complicated an exercise is, the further it moves away from producing powerful results.”

Now, the above quote could apply to almost anything, including your swing, your job, your hobbies…really just about anything I can think of.

The more complicated something is, the less effective it is.

The simpler something is, and the simpler you can communicate how to do it, the better the results.

Sadly, despite its common sense, this type of wisdom isn’t something that sells…

So, “they” don’t tell you about it.

For example, your local gym is often judged by how current the equipment is.

Does it have treadmills, stair steppers, and computerized equipment that gives you a digital readout of every step and heartbeat?

Does it have cables and pulleys and weight training equipment that have screens showing you how much you are lifting?

Does it have a sauna and cold tub?

Yet, the best gyms are located right near you…at all times.

You are the gym.

You are the cause.

You are the equipment.

The industry doesn’t want you to know your own body, yourself, or much anything else.

They don’t want you to know that you can achieve heights you’ve never dreamed of by avoiding nearly anything and everything they recommend.

And what do they recommend?

The complicated.

In other words, the stuff that doesn’t make any sense when closely examined.

The reality is that the keys to your workouts being great are simplicity and repeatability.

Instead of focusing on the gadgets…

Start concentrating on your body.

That is what will separate you from the rest.

Take a seemingly simple exercise like a push-up.

The more you do it – especially when you go slowly – the more you realize its powers.

It makes you stronger, increases your endurance, and connects your entire body.

Seriously, try to do a single push-up for 2 minutes.

I’ll wait.

It’s friggin’ brutal.

I could go on and on about the details of this one exercise, to the point of confusion.

I choose not to as the most important part of the exercise is getting started doing it.

The greatest advantage super-effective training programs have over all the other programs is their simplicity.

Keep it simple, smarty-pants.

STAY STRONG,
