This Saturday morning, I’m playing golf with my buddy, Bill.
Great dude.
Fun to play with.
Hates water.
Yeah, I never knew that was a thing until we became friends.
“Bill, your body is mostly water. WTF?!”
According to him, there is plenty of water in coffee and Dr. Pepper.
Just typing that sentence makes me cringe.
To be fair, a lot of the golfers I talk to know they don’t drink enough water.
And for those golfers and Bill, don’t take my word for it, take a look at this:
ARE YOU DRINKING ENOUGH WATER?
Now, the fact you’re in the Crew, you know that water is important.
But why is it important?
The article goes into some great, specific benefits of drinking enough water and why it’s important, but this really sums it best…
You’re not reaching your potential or maximizing the results from your all of your hard work if you’re not drinking enough water.
Yup.
And if that’s not enough, how about these benefits mentioned:
- Brain Function
- Metabolizing Fat
- Regulating Body Temperature
- Digestion
- Proper Joint Function
- Nutrient Delivery
- Hunger Cues
In the article, there are some clever strategies to drink more water, but here’s what works for me…
I keep a water bottle (Yeti, HydroFlask, Stanley, whatever your preference) within arm’s reach at almost all times – in the car, in the gym, at home, etc.
You ever stand around at a party and continue to pick at food and snacks just because it’s in front of your face?
Same thing.
You’ll end up drinking out of boredom.
And in the case of water…that’s good.
Alright, here’s to crushing 120 oz of water today!
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
PS – It sounds obvious, but listen to your body…if your mouth is dry, you’re already starting to get dehydrated. That’s the first sign.
