Does your fitness serve the larger goal?

Yesterday, my son asked me about, of all things, investing. 

Apparently, everyone on TikTok is the Warren Buffet of cryptocurrency. 

And nobody has ever lost a penny. 

As a soul-crushing father, I had to set him straight… 

“Yeah, that’s not exactly how that works. In general, we’re all satisfied doubling our $$$ every seven years when it comes to investing.” 

Each month, we put X into the machine, then seven years later, we end up with 7X. 

And the world keeps on spinning.  

The bright shiny crypto is like a crash diet – you may get a huge upfront win, but it’s quickly followed by an even bigger loss.  

Our fitness, nutrition, and health all work the same way. 

Trying to hit a homerun isn’t a long-term strategy for success. 

Instead, the path to longevity is to focus on the one thing that matters most. 

Not the bright, shiny, “revolutionary” object that changes the game. 

Instead, it’s CONSISTENCY

Us humans are wired to seek novelty. 

New is exciting. 

And exciting gives us a dopamine hit. 

As a trainer, it’s my job to help you resist that natural impulse… 

…especially when it doesn’t serve the larger goal. 

And the larger goal: 

PLAY MORE GOLF 

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some afternoon clients who have “bought in” to our consistency model. 

And are primed to put in the work today.
