Remember when sports felt easy?

When my son was in 6th grade we were playing soccer and I realized, “holy smokes, I can’t keep up with him.” That little punk was so much quicker than me. Remember when sports felt easy? Not because they were. Soccer is still soccer. It’s because we were athletic. We didn’t need ten minutes to loosen up. We didn’t wonder if your back or knees were going to cooperate. We didn’t think twice about sprinting, jumping, changing directions, or playing for hours. We just… Moved. Most of us don’t lose that overnight. We lose it a little at a time. Then one day we convince ourselves that it’s just part of getting older. I don’t buy it. I KNOW there’s still an athlete in there. It may have been years since you’ve played your last competitive game, but that doesn’t mean your body has to keep moving in reverse. Here’s the thing… Golf isn’t the problem. Golf is where you notice it. That’s the idea that’s been driving me for months. And I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been building. More tomorrow. STAY STRONG, Jeff PS – Our goal is not to try and keep up on the soccer pitch with teenagers – that ship has sailed for the vast majority of us. The goal is to recover that athleticism that’s been hiding under years of improper (or very little) training, sitting behind a desk, and “ahhh, I’m just getting old.”
