Step #1 to achieving lifetime momentum

My cousin and our co-founder Ryan lives in a municipality here in St. Louis called Sunset Hills.  

And it is appropriately named. 

Unlike our parents who impossibly walked up hill both ways to school, his trips are a battle of down hill trips one direction, then up hill on the way back. 

But, he never complains because the down hill trips give him a ton of momentum that energize him for the return trips.  

It’s easy because he always has momentum. 

And when we’re starting anything – like a new training program, it’s important to get over that first hurdle and get momentum working for you. 

For sure, there’s an initial resistance – a voice in your head telling you, “Nah, we’ll do it tomorrow.”  

That guy is a real jerk sometimes. 

But what that guy doesn’t know is that once we overcome the initial resistance and start the fitness journey, keeping that momentum becomes exponentially easier – just like walking down hill. 

And once we’re in motion, we don’t want to stop.  

Which means long-term success.
