Rapid “results” and quick wins are sexy – they sell a ton of fitness products.
And they look great on ads.
BUT, they are rarely sustainable.
Years ago, my neighbor wanted to cover up the creek running through their backyard, so they planted bamboo.
Nothing really happened the first few seasons as it was building its root system underground.
But all of a sudden, holy cow!
That stuff exploded out of the ground.
And hasn’t looked back.
You ever try to get rid of that stuff?
It’s impossible.
Because it has built a sustainable foundation that is a fool’s errand to try and stop.
Our fitness foundation is actually easier, because our “root-building” may only take a month or a few months if you’ve got a proven strategy.
Your foundation is about:
- Creating sustainable habits
- Refining/simplifying your process
- Consistency
These aren’t going to sell any “30-second abs” workout products.
Or, add 50 yards to your drive by the time the snow melts.
But, it’s what leads to massive results over the long-term.
