One of the greatest and creepiest movie quotes of all time…”They’re back.” From Poltergeist II.
Seriously, how many times have you said that in your life? A LOT.
Today is a HUGE day for us at 18STRONG. We’re re-releasing our uber-popular training program:
And it’s not a moment too soon.
I was listening to the radio on Monday – yes, I still listen to the local, terrestrial radio stations.
And I heard an ad that started like this, “Do you want to lose weight without dieting or exercise?”
It literally stopped me in my tracks b/c I was so disgusted. I turned to my wife and said, “You’ve gotta be f-ing kidding me.”
Yeah, the diet industry has always been completely full of it, but I feel like they finally crossed the line.
And yet, I would expect nothing less from Big Pharma and there new “miracles” like Ozempic and the other semaglutides.
Those drugs are designed to trick your body into thinking that it is full, even if you’ve had nothing to eat. And they work extremely well.
Our bodies are telling us they are hungry because they need to be fed. Kinda like a baby crying in the middle of the night (I do NOT miss those days).
So what happens when we starve our bodies?
The biggest problem we’re now starting to see is that precious, we-work-so-hard-to-get muscle is being cannibalized for fuel which creates a whole new set of issues like:
- Increased blood pressure
- Increased heart rate
- “Skinny-fat” physique
- Terrible sleep
…the list goes on and on.
And I totally understand why people would resort to such extreme measures – we’ve all tried and failed so many times to get off the dieting roller coaster.
BUT, Big Pharma and purposely starving yourself ain’t the answer.
Instead, we incorporate the Cycle of Escalating Habits.
It goes like this:
- When you exercise, you eat better.
- When you eat better, you feel better.
- When you feel better, you want to exercise.
Rinse and repeat.
Now, us lunatic golfers face a unique challenge when it comes to fat loss…
…because even reputable fat burning programs tend to rely on strategies and exercises that are dangerous to your body and can ruin your swing.
On the other hand, most golf training programs focus heavily on flexibility, which has very little effect on your body’s ability to burn fat.
And you guessed it, it’s the Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint.
Alright, that’s it for now. We blew out the back wall of the gym to make more room, so I need to put on my mover’s hat.
Your #1 Fan,
PS – If you are considering the Big Pharma route for weight loss (not fat loss), I cannot stress enough how dangerous those treatments can be. Plus, what happens when you stop the treatments?
Instead, I highly encourage you to join us in the Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint where we’ll work together to make keeping off the fat forever very simple.
