Yesterday, I went off on a little diatribe about the importance of staying hydrated when you’re feeling under the weather during these winter months.
Which again, I cannot recommend more – sleep it off, and stay hydrated.
That’s always been my recipe.
As I often do, I went down a rabbit hole of the additional benefits of hydration, especially when we’re feeling healthy.
I found an equally educational and succinct article by our friends over at 1st Phorm that sums up the top 5 benefits of hydration.
It’s definitely worth the read, so here’s a little teaser:
- Proper hydration aids in post-workout recovery
- Being hydrated helps you perform at your best
- Proper hydration can reduce fatigue
- Being hydrated can help regulate your body temperature
- Being hydrated improves cognitive function
Their research does a much better job of quickly exploring each of these than I can, so you can check it out here:
The Ultimate Guide To Hydration And Recovery
I’m sure at least one of the five benefits above has directly affected you (#5 always hits home for me), so I’d give it a quick read.
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
