You didn’t forget how to play sports

There was a time when you never questioned whether our bodies could do something.

Our brains had an idea.

Run.

Rotate.

Reach.

Explode.

And our bodies simply answered…

“Yep.”

We didn’t think about warming up just to get through the day.

We didn’t have to plan every movement.

Our bodies simply cooperated.

Somewhere along the way, that changed.

Now, too many movements comes with an internal dialogue…

Can I turn that far?

Will my back tighten up?

Am I going to feel this tomorrow?

That’s not because we’ve forgotten how to move.

It’s because our bodies slowly lose the athletic qualities we once had.

The good news?

Those qualities can be rebuilt.

Not by trying to become 25 again – that’s a fool’s errand.

Instead, by recapturing the athleticism we once had.

I don’t care what sports you played growing up, we never had to think about it.

If we wanted to knock a soccer ball across the yard, we just did it.

If we wanted to toss the football on the beach, we’d John Elway it.

Even the sports we didn’t play, we could pick up most things pretty easily.

And that’s what 18STRONG is all about.

Getting back to that place.

STAY STRONG,

Jeff
