(I may have taken the back of my shirt too literally:) Why it’s so important to us: Your support fuels Youth on Course’s mission to give kids access to life-changing opportunities through golf: Affordable rounds ($5). Real community. Lifelong skill. And you helped make that happen. Thank you! Hike Highlights: - First group went off at 8a.
- Sooo many steps with bags strapped to us.
- Sooo many times bending over to tee or pick up golf balls.
- Birdies powered by meat sticks and competitive stubbornness.
- Lots of Canadian Geese guarding greens, and in some cases, the pins.
- Last group finished at 3:30p.
- A few cold suds in the clubhouse to bookend 11.1 rounds.
What we learned… Preparation wins. Strong hips, strong shoulders, mobile thoracic spines, and durable feet make golf more fun – whether it’s 18 holes or 100. Train first. Suffer less. Enjoy more. We’re not finished. Next week we’re announcing our next physical challenge. It’s going to make these 100 holes look like cake walk. Get ready to jump in with us. Finally, if you donated, shared, or cheered us on: you’re part of this win. If you missed it and still want to support the cause, you can chip in here: https://www.100holehike.org/metga2025/JeffPelizzaro2025 (still open). STAY STRONG, Jeff PS – A big thanks goes out to Adam Betz at Family Golf and Learning Center for closing the course for us lunatics. If you’re ever in St. Louis, do yourself a favor and pop-in to his First Class facility – it’s like nothing else in town. And Curt Rohe who runs the Metro Amateur Golf Association here in town who not only introduced us to Youth on Course, but if you’re ever at a golf trivia night, is 1,000% your guy. |
