Most days, I write about things that I think our Crew wants.
Some days, I hit the mark.
Some days, I totally biff it.
Yesterday, the former applies.
Based on the conversations I’ve had, there are/were a lot of questions surrounding creatine.
It’s a very popular supplement, but we can also eat certain foods that help facilitate the natural production in our bodies.
If you’re just tuning in, and are curious…
What is creatine?
It’s a naturally occurring amino acid mainly stored in our muscle tissue.
For me, I notice that it gives me a boatload of energy when I’m pumping iron.
We’ve all had day where we’re “not feeling it” while working out, hitting balls, or any other high-intensity activity.
What I’ve found taking creatine is that I have A LOT FEWER of those days, so my workouts are a lot more productive (and fun).
Keeping with that theme, here is a great article I came across I know you’ll dig:
Top 11 Best Foods With Creatine
Spoiler Alert: Vegans are kinda out of luck as creatine is not a compound we find in plant-based foods.
In addition to the 11 foods, the article dives into the benefits:
- Enhanced muscle growth
- Improved exercise performance
- Increased strength and power
- Enhanced brain function
- Improved recovery
I’m with you. I didn’t know all these benefits until I started going down the rabbit hole.
So, take a look and lemme know what you think.
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
PS – If you can get enough creatine through your diet, that is the superior method.
However, I find it extremely difficult to make that happen, so I highly recommend you look into supplementation.
