Yesterday, we talked about how you didn’t lose it (your athleticism).
You just lost access to it.
So the obvious question is:
How do you actually get it back?
Most guys go straight to the wrong answer.
They think more range balls.
More swing thoughts.
Maybe even a swing change.
But that’s not what brings it back.
Because your swing isn’t the problem.
It’s your body’s ability to move like it used to.
And the fastest way to tap back into that isn’t a long workout.
It’s giving your body a quick reminder of what “athletic” feels like again.
Here’s something simple to try before your next round (or even before the range):
- 5–8 squat-to-rotations (sit into a squat, rotate your upper body side to side)
- 8–10 reverse lunges (slow and controlled)
- 10–15 push-ups
That’s it.
Takes maybe 2 minutes.
But here’s what it does:
It wakes up your legs.
It turns your core back on.
It gets your upper body engaged.
More importantly, it reconnects the pieces that make your swing feel natural.
So instead of trying to “find it” with your hands…
Your body starts bringing it back for you.
That’s when things get interesting.
Because the swing you’re looking for?
It usually shows up a lot faster than you expect.
No new mechanics.
No overthinking.
Just your body doing what it already knows how to do.
Try it next time you play.
Pay attention to how quickly things start to feel familiar again.
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
