Golf Exposes It Faster Than Anything

According to the CDC, 47% of American adults still exercise (150+ minutes of moderate activity per week).

I find that hard to believe, but they’ve done the study, so let’s go with it.

What I do for sure is that very few still move athletically.

There’s a difference.

Athletic movement is reactive.

  • Explosive.
  • Coordinated.
  • Dynamic.

It’s sprinting after a ball.

  • Changing direction.
  • Rotating powerfully.
  • Moving without hesitation.

Most guys lose that long before they lose strength.

Instead, exercise becomes:

Walking on a treadmill.

Random stretching.

Machines.

Trying to “stay healthy.”

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Until my dying breath, I will always say, “something is better than nothing.”

But eventually your body adapts to moving cautiously instead of athletically.

And golf exposes it fast.

You feel it when your swing speed drops.

You feel it when your body takes forever to warm up.

You feel it when you know you should be able to make a swing, but it just doesn’t happen naturally anymore.

The answer usually isn’t “work harder.”

It’s reintroducing the kinds of movement your body hasn’t experienced in years.

That’s why we’ve stopped chasing fitness.

We train golfers to move like athletes again.
