Any golfer on the planet who ever played ANY sport growing up has the same moment.
You step over a shot and think…
“Man, I should be so much better than this.”
And it feels true.
Because right now, your swing feels off.
Your body feels tight.
Timing is just a little late.
Contact isn’t clean.
So, our tiny brains jump to the obvious conclusion:
“I’ve lost it. My athleticism just floated away over the years.”
But that’s not actually what happened.
You didn’t lose it.
You just lost access to it.
That version of you didn’t disappear after high school, college, etc.
Your life routines just changed.
Less movement.
More sitting.
More days when you’re chasing kids rather than doing athletic things.
So when you ask it to show up on the course…
It’s like flipping on a light that hasn’t been touched in a while.
It flickers.
It’s inconsistent.
And yeah, sometimes it feels like it’s gone.
But it’s not gone.
It’s still in there.
You just haven’t given your body a reason to bring it out consistently.
That’s the shift most guys miss.
They think they need:
- A new swing
- More reps
- More range time
When really, all we need is a body that can access what’s already there.
That’s what we’re going to start digging into this week.
Because once you feel it again…
You realize pretty quickly that you never lost it in the first place.
It’s been hiding in plain sight.
STAY STRONG,
Jeff
