Ben pan bullets?

“Bedpan bullets.”

That is how a nurse described vitamins to me 10+ years ago.

Meaning, they do nothing because they don’t absorb into our bodies.

Well, I’ve been taking vitamins and supplements off and on since my Flintstone vitamin days.

And have yet to see Dino come back out undisturbed.

So, while “bedpan bullets” is very catchy, I have to completely disagree.

Had I only known then what I know now, I would have given her three reasons she needs to be taking vitamins, specifically a daily multivitamin:

1. Nutritional Support – While our bodies are incredible machines, even our modern diet has nutritional gaps. A multivitamin acts as a nutritional safety net, ensuring we get a broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals that our crucial for our body’s functions.

From supporting immune health (very relevant this time of year) to adding in energy metabolism, a daily MVN (multivitamin) gives us a balanced dose of nutrients we need to function optimally.

2. Enhanced Energy – Nutrient deficiencies can lead to fatigue. By ensuring that we’re getting a constant supply of vital nutrients, MVNs can help boost energy levels and boost well-being – which gives me more confidence, which in turn, gives me more natural energy.

3. Long-Term Benefits – Studies show that consistent supplementation can support a number of health aspects…from maintaining healthy skin to promoting heart health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Plus, it’s so easy to do.

How hard is it to pop a few capsules every day?

Alright, so basically, a multivitamin is a nutritional safety net.

When you incorporate it into your daily routine, it’s a super-simple, yet super-effective way to ensure your body gets the nutritional support it needs.

I used to think that taking something was better than nothing, but not all supplements are made the same.

Just be sure you’re taking a multivitamin from a reputable, science-backed company.
