Beware of becoming a “hopper”

After lots of awesome family time and one day back in the gym, I’m back in the swing of things and ready to rock 2024 with you.

We’re six days away from the unofficial start of habit building season – January 2nd.

Let’s gently ease into the New Year and take the day off on the 1st, then get after it on the 2nd.

Today’s topic?

Beware of becoming a “hopper”.

These are the people who “hop” from one program to another on an endless quest for a quick fix.

This is especially bad for your confidence.

Because, while you may initially blame the failure on the program…

…eventually, you take a look back at another year and another pile of failed training programs.

And realize the failures are on you.

And question yourself, what’s the point?

And you’re ready throw in the towel until the next new year.

I still have days when I look at guys with a John Daly physique, and tell myself, “Man, it would be so much easier to just let myself go.”

BUT, you know what gets me through those days?

I have a stack of habits that my brain won’t let quit.

AND that is how you stop “hopping” from program to program.

Instead, you start slow.

And gradually add more to your “stack”.

For example, our co-founder Ryan had struggled to keep his weight where he wanted ever since college – he does love cold beers:)

If you ask him, he tried just about everything to lose weight – ultra low calorie diet, no carbs, jogging, P90X, Insanity, Beachbody, etc.

Down and up his weight would fluctuate.

For years, he was looking for a quick fix.

He would lose 10-15 lbs.

A few months later, he would gain it all back.

So, it’s probably been close to ten years now, when he decided, “F that! Clearly this isn’t working. I’m going to start looking long-term.”

He started by eliminating most processed foods.

And lost a few pounds.

Then, he added strength training 2-3 times per week for 20 mins.

And lost a few pounds.

Then, he cut back a little on his beers.

And lost a few pounds.

Over the first 4-6 months of his shift to long-term, he lost that same 10lbs, but it became simple to keep it off.

Fast forward to today, he’s consistently at his 170-175lb target for him.

And he’s been there for about 10 years…with zero “relapses”.

He has his program – his stack of habits.

So, there’s no reason to “hop” around.

And that is a similar version to our most successful Crew members.

And that is why we created the 30-Day Resolution Revolution group coaching program.

To finally stop you from “hopping” from one program to another.

To stop yo-yo diets and training.

To shift your mindset from quick fix to long-term.

We’ll help you get there.

Catch you later. I’ve got to check on movie tickets for The Iron Claw – yup, we grew up loving wrestling.

STAY STRONG,
Jeff

PS – I said it yesterday, but I’ll say it again.

If you’re looking for a quick fix to temporarily lose a bunch of weight, we ain’t your guys.

We have no interest in watching your confidence be annihilated…again.

Instead, we’ll help you build your long-term habit stack.

Your ticket is right here in the 30-Day Resolution Revolution group coaching program.

See you on the inside.
