Holy smokes!!! That really just happened?

Did that really just happen?

The PGA Tour and LIV Golf have merged?

I absolutely did not see that one coming. Can’t wait to see the details when all the smoke settles.

Alright, since we have very few details, let’s get back to the things we can control…

This week, I’m heading to KC to meet up with my buddy TJ to play in his member-guest (Hallbrook CC). And I need to focus on the little things I can control that will make a difference for me this week.

We’re in the 11th hour, so there’s no time to cram.

No time to enhance my skills.

No time to get strong.

BUT, there are some things I can control this week:

Warm-Up

Hydration

Pre-shot routine

Mental game

Nutrition

And those are the things that you can consistently control each round. The “big” stuff like improving strength, mobility, and kill are the marathon tasks. We’re in this for the long haul, but doing the little things will instantly help your game.

Today, let’s focus on the warm-up because that is what helps me the most. A good warm-up gets me firing from the first shot, which helps my mental game, confidence, pre-shot routine, etc.

If I don’t have a ton of time when I get to the course (which seems to be the norm), I’ll do our Tee Box Warm-Up. Do five reps of each of these if you only have 5 minutes:

Ankle cirlcles

Calf-toe raises

Hip circles

Shoulder circles

Neck circles

Leg swings

Split stance rotation

Reverse toe touch

Golf stance rotation

Wrist-shoulder propellers

Driver stretch

I know that may seem like a lot, but you can quickly get through while still getting good movements.

Don’t forget to got both directions on exercises like the circles.

If you need help with the movements, these are all in the 18STRONG Membership App – Golfer’s Warm-Up. You can follow along with the videos the first few times, then you’ll have it.

You’ve got this.

PS – If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you join us in the 18STRONG Membership where we’ll work together on both your long-term and short-term success.

Now…let’s waste a bunch of time today following along with this crazy merger on our telephones (I count the number of texts I’ve already gotten this morning:)
