A swing as smooth as George Benson

The only thing smoother than George Benson’s Never Gonna Change My Love For You is the smooth, loose swing that grooves a perfectly squared shot…

…one of those shots where you tell yourself, “THAT is why I need to let the club do the work.”

Yeah, my Dad was/is a huge fan of George Benson. And he just popped up on my Spotify (George Benson, not my Dad:).

So, the Blues are playing tonight here in St. Louis and whenever I go to the games, I love watching the goalkeepers get loose before they drop the puck.

They effortlessly do the splits.

They get down in the butterfly position and rotate their hips like they’re not connected.

And the one that hurts to watch the most is when they get on their knees, then bend backward to touch the backs of their heads on the ice.

Doesn’t even look human.

Now, we can agree that neither of us has the mobility to be a good hockey goalie.

BUT…and this one is going to hurt a little…

Do you have the mobility to be a good golfer?

Here’s why I ask…

GolfTec released the results of their SwingTRU Motion Study where they analyzed 90 million swings (not a typo) from over 13,000 golfers.

And found there are very specific, very key positions in the golf swing that DIRECTLY relate to lower scores.

For example, during the top of our backswing, high-handicap golfers consistently keep their lead shoulder raised higher, rather than tip down toward the ball.

Why?

Because better golfers can get into that position.

Now, I’m not a golf instructor, so I’m going to tell you to lower your shoulder 11 degrees (that actually is the average difference according to the study).

I AM telling you that you can train your shoulder to increase your mobility so that you start to naturally tip down toward your target.

Yesterday, I said I was going to reveal the key positions we need to focus on to quickly lower scores:

  • Backswing
  • Post-impact
  • Full-finish

You get those three right, and you can smash your handicap.

Alright, I’ve got a busy day today putting the finishing touches on our 14-Day Hyper-Elastic Mobility training so it’s ready to launch tomorrow.

And have two podcast episodes to record that I am really, really excited to learn what these guys are doing.

STAY STRONG,
Jeff Pelizzaro
