Beware of January 17th!!!

It’s our final email of 2024, and we’re spending it on 2025-speak.

We’ll be back to our usual witty and hilariousness on Jan. 2, but until then, very sincerely, thank you for sharing parts of your past year with us.

So, without further ado, here we go…

Our first goal of 2025 is to get to January 17th

That is the tipping point when 51% of people have already given up on their New Year’s resolution(s).

It happens every single year like clockwork.

And as sad as it sounds, 2025 won’t be any different.

UNLESS, we change our ways.

For example, our co-founder Ryan is challenging himself to ride the Katy Trail in May.

It is a 240-ish mile gravel trail that cuts across the entire state of Missouri.

He has a bike that he rides in the basement when the weather gets cold, but he is, by no means, a cyclist.

So, is he going to transform into a Tour de France competitor over the next four months?

Nope.

He’s adding small riding increments to his current workout routine.

***By the way, if fat loss is your goal, I DO NOT recommend tons of jogging (neither does Ryan).

But, that’s not the point today.

The point is how he made one simple tweak (below) to his program that will increase his chance of success by 10X.

It’s going to sound like a small thing (and it is).

Here’s his go-to move…

In his own words, “I have a debilitating case of FOMO.” aka a Fear Of Missing Out:)

And, as you know, Friday nights are the biggest opportunity to over-indulge.

From first-hand knowledge, I’ve seen it for decades.

Because he knows that Fridays can be a problem, he purposely scheduled his one long ride of the week for Saturday mornings.

That way, he’ll “behave” himself on Friday nights.

I don’t care who you are, nobody feels like exercising when you’re feeling the previous night in your head.

Again, that is a very small tweak.

But, the long-term benefit is huge.

One of the unfortunate truths to the fitness world is that one program doesn’t fit all

We can give you the tools, but it’s up to you to adapt them to you

It’s kinda like a hammer.

Yeah, you could probably knock in a nail with the handle.

But, use the business end of it, and your success rate jumps 100X.

So, when you decide that 2025 is your year and you join the 18STRONG Membership

Make it your own.

We’ve made it as step-by-step as possible.

But, you may have to tweak it for you.

That’s okay.

If you have to move a day. No big deal.

If an injury keeps you from doing a movement. No big deal.

If you can’t make it to the gym. No big deal.

There are simple solutions to all those problems.

And you can figure it out.

We’re human.

Some days are going to go as planned.

Some days are going to fall apart.

At the end of the day, something is ALWAYS better than nothing.

STAY STRONG,

Jeff

PS – GOODBYE 2024!

And all the unproductive things we did to ourselves.

HELLO 2024!

And with the help of the 18STRONG Membershipmore strength, and larger drives:)
