Is Your Flu Gonna Last the Next 40 Years?

Happy Friday morning.

We had a blast yesterday playing at Sweetens Cove, now we’re heading to Leg #2 of our trip to The Course at Sewanee about 30 mins away, and I ain’t gonna lie…

I’m a little fuzzy from a long, long day on the course, and an even longer night on the lit-up putting green, bonfire, and a house with 10 dudes staying there like we were back in college.

Oh, you demon bourbon. I love you at night, but want to fight you in the morning:)

No worries. I actually feel great and am ready to dominate the day both on and off the course – I’m talking to you, Nashville after dark.

I don’t have a ton of time, but want to talk about living the life you want.

Yesterday, I must have struck a nerve with my rant. Luckily, it was a good nerve.

In case you missed it, I stole some lyrics from Jason Isbell (one of my favorite singer/songwriters)…

Are you living the life you chose?

Are you living the life that chose you?

And it’s the same story for all of us.

We get outta college, keep piling on responsibilities, then stop or slow-down working towards the life we all want to live.

Every day, I do my best to push the needle closer to that life, but I’m nowhere near perfect.

In fact, our entire Crew is still working on it.

If you’re one of those guys who hates being average and ordinary, you’re in the right place.

And I think that your best life starts and ends with your health and fitness.

When we feel better, we are better at every other aspect of our lives.

Think about how useless you feel and unproductive you are when you get the flu and are stuck in bed.

Being out of shape and not feeling great is that, just on a smaller scale.

But make no mistake, they affect your life every day.

So, what’s my point?

Stop giving away days.

We all have a finite number of days, so let’s be awesome for as many as we can.

You’ve got this.
