Quick or sustainable results?

My cousin’s son just started his high school soccer career two weeks ago.

After 5 games, he has 2 goals and 6 assists.

So, you can confidently say he came outta the gate quickly.

Is that pace sustainable?

Not sure, but it’s great.

Now when it comes to our fitness, coming outta the gate too quickly is a recipe for disaster.

And that is the most common mistake I see…

“You haven’t worked out in 10 years? Great! Let’s start you off with a 90-minute workout, 7-days-a-week.”

“You’re trying to lose weight? No problem. Starting today, you’re going to eliminate 100% of your carb intake.”

“You want more distance? We got you covered. Take this 10lb mace and swing it 150 times every day for the next 30 days.”

And each one of those “programs” has the same fundamental flaw.

They are all…

UNSUSTAINABLE!!!

How many programs have you tried where you had to turn your life upside down?

You can do it for a week, maybe two.

BUT ultimately, we end up right back where we started.

Now, I know it’s not sexy, but instead of bringing the heat right outta the gate, let’s start thinking long-term success.

We need to shift our mindset from quick fix to solid foundation.

From there, we can build whatever we want.

And that is why we created the Golf Body Blueprint – Activate program in the 18STRONG Membership.

It’s for 45+ golfers who haven’t been in the gym for a while or have little experience with strength training.

The main goal is to build a strong foundation that unlocks all those golf things we want: distance, power, mobility, injury-prevention, etc.

From there, we keep improving.

STAY STRONG,

Jeff
