I hope you had a great weekend and were able to hit the links. And, according to my son, let’s hope for a big night from the Cowboys’ Tony Pollard. Let’s say you’re walking along the beach and find a genie bottle. You rub it. The genie comes out in a swath of smoke. BUT, it turns out the genie is a huge golf fitness nut (like us) and will only grant you a wish in his wheelhouse. What’s the one thing you wish for your swing? More power? More speed? More flexibility? More balance? More rotation? If I’m a betting man, I would put my money on the thing I hear 9 of 10 times… Flexibility. There are a lot of things we can do to increase flexibility, but today, let’s concentrate on fat loss – yup, they are very much intertwined (John Daly is the rare exception). Carrying extra weight, particularly around the midsection, physically hinders our ability to fully rotate during a swing. Shedding extra pounds not only helps increase our Range of Motion, but also makes it easier to get into our desired swing position. That’s the first thing. The second thing is that excess weight increases the pressure on our joints – most often our backs and knees. Over time, that leads to pain and stiffness, which obviously hampers flexibility. Losing excess fat does the opposite – lessens the pressure which makes it easier for our joints to move freely and smoothly. And as always… Better flexibility is a HUGE factor in injury-prevention. So, if you missed it last week, we had our Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint re-release party. It’s specifically for 45+ golfers who need to burn fat (not muscle), but can’t gamble on mainstream programs that rely on strategies and exercises that are dangerous to our precious swings. You’ve got this. Your #1 Fan, Jeff Pelizzaro PS – Right now, we’ve lowered the price to $67 from $97 (31% off) to celebrate the re-release of the Golfer’s Fat Loss Blueprint – it’s a great time to take advantage. |
